Week II of the Vermont Summer Series is a Wrap!

The second week of competition at the HITS Vermont Summer Festival is a wrap in beautiful Manchester. Exhibitors and horses looked exceptional in the Hunter and Jumper show rings to continue the six-week Summer show series. The Manchester Summer Festival was host to USEF Premier/4* Rated competition that featured a $1,000 Platinum Performance Hunter Prix, $2,500 NEHJA Hunter Derby, $25,000 SmarkPak Grand Prix, $40,000 Grand Prix, and more exciting classes. Keep reading for a recap of the winners!

Kicking off the week in the Grand Prix Ring on Wednesday was Willie Tynan and BALLINTESKIN JOE who effortlessly conquered the $5,000 Manchester Designer Outlets Open Welcome with a clean round and a time of 37.208 in the jump-off.. Tynan, riding for MDM Equestrian Group, also finished in second place with FENISE, setting the bar high for success during his stay at the Vermont Summer Festival.

Tynan dominated another featured Jumper class on Friday, finishing one-two-three in the $25,000 SmartPak Grand Prix. Once again demonstrating outstanding riding skill, Tynan showed three horses in the class and posted a double clear round in 38.63 aboard BALLINTESKIN JOE to take first place.

Continuing their unstoppable winning streak in the Grand Prix Ring on Saturday, Tynan and BALLINTESKIN JOE were victorious again in the $40,000 HITS Grand Prix. Crossing the timers in 40.032 with no faults, Tynan secured top honors with his strong ambition, experience, and drive that helped cement his supremacy throughout the week.

The Hunter Ring hosted the $2,500 NEHJA Hunter Derby on Thursday where Oakley Clark and INZAGI, owned by Grace Dayton, claimed the blue ribbon with top scores 88 and 85, totaling a winning score of 173. Clark displayed exceptional style and ease in the first round and continued to ride with control and balance through the second.

3rd Place: Clark & BILLY IRISH [169]

On Saturday, Lisa Rabon and CASCADE, owned by Randi Vladimerthe, bested the field in the $1,000 Platinum Performance Hunter Prix. Totaling a combined score of 164, Rabon earned an 80 in the first round and an 84 in the second, securing the first place spot by one point.
