Blue Ribbons in featured classes at the Showplace Summertime Series

The Showplace Summertime Series is underway! With two great weeks of competition already a wrap, we are excited to jump "hoof-first" into Week III, featuring even more hunter, jumper, and equitation competition. Also taking place this week are the USHJA Zone Hunter and Jumper Championships and the USHJA Platinum Jumper Championships. Check out some of the highlights from Week I & II of the Showplace Summertime Series competition at HITS Chicago and good luck to all rider's showing at Week III of the Showplace Summertime Series!

Showplace Summertime I Highlights
 
Taking top honors in the $5,000 Johnson Horse Transportation Open Welcome was Charlie Jayne for his ride aborad GRANDE DAME. Jayne crossed the timers in 35.232 to secure the victory.

2nd Place: Dylan Daly & DAMOKLES (35.899)
3rd Place: Adeline Rohrbach & VALLADAM (35.975)

Skyler Hendricks & THE COUNTESS took top honors in the $1,500 WIHS Children's and Adult Jumper Classic.

The blue ribbon in the $1,500 Marshall & Sterling Children's and Adult Jumper Classic was awarded to Kate Cornell & ROSSI BIANCI.

Beata Buckley & ZANTOS II were victorious in the $1,000 Marshall & Sterling Children's and Adult Low Jumper Classic.

Claiming the blue ribbon in the $1,500 NAL Children's and Adult Jumper Classic was Karlee Boshold & VIRANTOS.

Madelyn Cardelli took the blue ribbon in the $2,500 NAL Jr/A-O/Am 1.25m Jumper Classic aboard CHASINTA. 

Lisa Goldman-Smolen joined the Winner's Circle to take home first place in the $5,000 Marshall & Sterling Jumper Classic with BENGTSSON VDL in a time of 43.039.

2nd Place: Genevieve Munson & ZONDERLING (44.387)
3rd Place: Daly & CUATA (40.592, 4-Faults)

Goldman-Smolen wrapped-up the week with a win in the $35,000 HITS Grand  Prix, this time aboard HINDSIGHT in a time of 41.766.

2nd Place: Nicole Bellissimo & EMY (43.240)
3rd Place: Jayne & TOU LA MOON (W.D.)
 
Showplace Summertime II Highlights
Kyle Perkovich took home the blue ribbon in the $5,000 Johnson Horse Transportation Open Welcome aboard HIT ME VAN'T ZORGVLIET in a time of 40.277.

2nd Place: Goldman-Smolen& BENGTSSON VDL (40.503)
3rd Place: Goldman-Smolen & GUDIRIS (40.583)

Taking first place honors in the $20,000 HITS Jumper Prix was Stefanie Collier and EMMA-LEE in a time of 41.313.

2nd Place: Goldman-Smolen & CONTESSA (42.618)
3rd Place: Kim Barone & FIDDY CENT (43.119)

Joining the Winner's Circle for the blue ribbon in the $5,000 Marshall & Sterling Jumper Classic was Taylor Flury and CALANO Z in a time of 32.758.

2nd Place: Laura Linback & SKAT 15 (31.568, 12-Faults)
3rd Place: Cardelli & CHASINTA 

Alison Flury & ROLE MODEL took home the blue ribbon in the $1,500 WIHS Children's and Adult Jumper Classic.

First place in the $1,500 Marshall & Sterling Children's and Adult Jumper Classic was awarded to Anne Meyer & STELLA LUNA.

Victory in the $1,000 Puddle Jumper Classic was awarded to Ellery Rohr & ROSECROFT E CLAIRE.

Olivia Watson & DOWNTOWN'S SADIE took home the blue in the $1,000 Marshall & Sterling Modified Children's and Adult Jumper Classic.
Allison Orth & WARPAINT secured first place in the $1,000 Marshall & Sterling Children's and Adult Low Jumper Classic.

A. Flury & ROLE MODEL returned to the Winner's Circle for the blue ribbon in the $1,500 NAL Children's and Adult Jumper Classic.

Another win in the books for Linback, as she took first place in the $2,500 NAL Jr/A-O/Am 1.25m Jumper Classic aboard CARMINA.

Sarah Korenthal & LEGACY B took the win in the $5,000 Chicago Equine Jr/A-O/Am 1.35m Jumper Classic.

Amanda Flint
 and VDL WITTINGER took first place in the $35,000 Osphos Grand Prix Sunday afternoon to wrap-up Week II of the Showplace Summertime Series. A time of 37.181 secured the blue ribbon and lion's share of prize money for Flint.

2nd Place: Goldman-Smolen & HINDSIGHT (37.223)
3rd Place: T. Flury & CALANO Z (37.553)

In the Main Hunter Ring, Erin Cummins joined the Winner's Circle for her blue ribbon ride aboard MY BFF in the $2,500 USHJA National Hunter Derby. Cummins scored an 82 in the first round, and followed that with an 86 in the second round for an overall score of 168.

3rd Place: Goldman-Smolen & TITAN ROUGE (153)

Dr. Sharon Golden & CORDIARADO took the blue ribbon home in the $500 Marshall & Sterling Children's and Adult Hunter Classic.
 
With the Summer Series at HITS Chicago close to wrapping up, be sure to check the qualifying points and nominate your green hunter for the HITS Championship! The Stal Hendrix Green Hunter Futurity guarantees $25,000 in prize money PLUS all nominating fees! The HITS Championship is held annually during Week VIII of the HITS Saugerties Series.
The USHJA National Hunter Derby counts as a qualifying class for Junior and Amateur riders towards the Platinum Performance Hunter Prix Finals and the Devoucoux Hunter Prix is a qualifying class for the Diamond Mills Hunter Prix Finals.
