Saugerties, NY (June 16, 2017): HITS is delighted to be hosting the 2017 Adequan/FEI North American Junior & Young Rider Championships (NAJYRC) presented by Gotham North. The competition will be held July 18-23, in conjunction with the HITS-on-the-Hudson IV Horse Show in Saugerties, New York.
The North American Junior & Young Rider Championships is a unique and prestigious competition which gives many top Junior and Young Riders, age 14-21, from throughout North American and neighboring countries their first experiences in international competition. At HITS-on-the-Hudson, the disciplines of Show Jumping and Dressage will be offered to qualified riders. New this year, Jumping will include a Children's section for riders ages 12-14. NAJYRC is subject to the rules and restrictions of the FEI and is designated as a Continental Championship.
“This competition is the only junior and young rider FEI championship held annually on this continent, and it gives junior and young riders an unparalleled experience in the sport early in the development of their careers," said HITS Founder and CEO Tom Struzzieri. "HITS is dedicated to fostering the next generation of equestrians, and is very proud that HITS-on-the-Hudson in our home of Saugerties, has been selected by the USEF to hold such a special event.”
