Purina Mills Kids Day returns to HITS Saugerties Sunday, June 10
|

SAUGERTIES, NY (June 1, 2012) — HITS, Inc. is excited to announce that the ever-popular Purina Mills Kids Day will, once again, visit HITS-on-the-Hudson Sunday, June 10. The event will run from noon to 2 pm at the horse show grounds on Washington Avenue in Saugerties, New York and welcomes children of all ages to come enjoy some horse show fun.
This year’s helping of family fun will include games, arts and crafts, free pony rides courtesy of Vertical Limit Stables of Saugerties, New York and much more.
“We have been involved with Kids Day at HITS for several years and it’s something that we really look forward to,” said Vertical Limit Trainer Sharon Bach. “Most of the girls that ride with me and that aren’t showing at HITS that day come out and help. It’s so special to give kids their very first pony ride!”
Whoopsy Daisy the Clown will also make an appearance offering her popular balloon animals and caricatures. In addition, volunteers from FAMILY of Woodstock will be offering face painting.
When the Kids Day activities conclude, spectators are encouraged to stick around to watch some of the best competitors in the world compete for the top prize in the $100,000 Purina Mills Grand Prix, presented by Pfizer Animal Health. The first horse is set to go in the ring at 2 pm as all competitors look to notch another qualifier for the famed Pfizer $1 Million Grand Prix, scheduled for September 9.
Admission to HITS-on-the-Hudson for Purina Mills Kids Day is just $5 for adults, while admission for children 12 and under is free. All of the proceeds from the gate go directly to FAMILY of Woodstock, Inc. and parking at HITS-on-the-Hudson also is free.
