SAUGERTIES, NY (January 13, 2012)—HITS, Inc. is pleased to announce that long-time sponsor and supporter of its horse shows, Luitpold Pharmaceuticals, makers of Adequan® i.m. (polysulfated glycosaminoglycan), will continue to sponsor the Adequan Hunter Division this winter at HITS Thermal, HITS Ocala and HITS Arizona.
The Adequan Hunter Division has been one of the most popular at HITS horse shows for several years and is also offered at hundreds of Marshall & Sterling League events around the country as a qualifier for the Marshall & Sterling League National Finals. With fences at 3'5", the Adequan Hunter Division is a unique division that allows a green horse to jump a higher height without breaking its first-year status.
In addition to its well known sponsorship of the hunter division, Adequan will also be the title sponsor of the Adequan Jog for all pony hunter classes where ponies are required to jog for ribbons.
Adequan will also introduce the innovative Got Your Back program during the 2012 season. Each back number will feature a bar code, which exhibitors can scan with their Smartphones or enter their number online at www.adequan.com. Each week, 10 lucky exhibitors will win Adequan gear and will be entered into Adequan’s Got Your Back Overall Circuit Winner with chances to win complimentary Adequan product.

The 2012 winter show jumping season for HITS Horse Shows begins in the Sunshine State when the HITS Ocala Winter Circuit rolls into town for two unrated weeks, starting with the Ocala January Classic, January 18-22, and then the Ocala January Festival, January 25-29, followed by seven consecutive weeks of AA-rated competition that will run from January 31 through March 18.
Out west, the 2012 HITS Desert Circuit will get underway on Tuesday, January 24 and will run for three consecutive weeks until Sunday, February 12. After a short break, February 13 - 19, show jumping returns on Tuesday, February 21 and will continue until Sunday, March 11.
