HITS announces Brook Ledge Inc. as a sponsor for its 2009 spring and summer East Coast horse shows

 
     
 

SAUGERTIES, NY (May 12, 2009)—HITS is pleased to announce that Brook Ledge Inc. horse transportation again will join its impressive list of sponsors for the 2009 HITS Saugerties and HITS Culpeper Series of Horse Shows this spring and summer.

Brook Ledge has been a sponsor of HITS Ocala, HITS Culpeper and HITS Saugerties for many years, and again will be the title sponsor of the $10,000 Brook Ledge Open Welcome offered each Wednesday at HITS Saugerties, which kicks off its 2009 season on Wednesday, May 20. In addition, Brook Ledge will continue its sponsorship of the $15,000 Brook Ledge Open Prix at HITS Culpeper each Friday during the six-week show series in Culpeper, Virginia.

This year's HITS Saugerties Spring and Summer Series offer even more for hunter and jumper competitors, including increased prize money and special Classics.

For High Performance riders, more than $1 million in prize money will be handed out over the course of the spring and summer series in the Open Jumper divisions. There are four Open Jumper classes each week, including two Grand Prix classes. Junior and Amateur jumpers will see their divisions and Classics split each week with $5,000 awarded in the Low Classic and $10,000 in the High Classic weekly. The Children's and Adult jumpers will have a $10,000 Classic during Weeks I and IV, as well as their regular Classics the other weeks.

The $10,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby and the $5,000 Pony Commotion will take place Week VI. $50,000 in prize money will be awarded at the 2009 USEF Junior Hunter East Coast Championships on July 27, and equitation riders will have a chance to compete in the prestigious Hunterdon Cup on July 28. Children's and Adult hunters each will have an opportunity to show in a special Classic as one of the feature classes of the evening schedule. Check the schedule for other special Classics featured each week on Friday and Saturday evenings.
