HITS names Central Equine title sponsor of the Junior Medal at HITS Horse Shows Nationwide

SAUGERTIES, NY (November 16, 2007)—HITS is pleased to announce that Central Equine will be designated the title sponsor of the Junior Medal nationwide at all HITS horse shows. In addition, the Central Equine Junior Medal will be offered at all Marshall & Sterling League member events that host the Junior Medal competition and at the Marshall & Sterling League Finals.

The Junior Medal was introduced during the 2003 Marshall & Sterling League Finals in Worcester, Massachusetts. The Finals were held indoors in 2003 and 2004 and the event was very popular because it gave junior riders another alternative to show at 3'6''. For the past three seasons, the Finals have been held at HITS' state-of-the-art equestrian facility in Saugerties, New York making the Junior Medal Final unique, as it is the only Junior Medal Final held outdoors.

"Since its inception, the Junior Medal has always been a popular event," said HITS' National Marketing Director John Eickman. "The Marshall & Sterling League continues to grow each year and we are excited to have Central Equine become a part of that process."

Central Equine is an equine communications company committed to growth by exceeding the expectations of its customers, associates and partners. Their goal is to connect the show horse world's riders, trainers, horses, retailers, horse shows and events together more quickly and more efficiently through print, web and video, thus making Central Equine the essential equine resource.

"We strive to create an environment where all customers and associates are valued and respected, and where doing it the 'right way' takes precedence over doing it the easy way," said Central Equine's President Scott Schaedle. "We aspire to be the industry leader in proactively setting standards of excellence in online communities, journalism and the marketing of show horses."

Central Equine reaches over 15,000 horse enthusiasts every month online. In addition, 10,000 copies of each issue of Central Equine's Ebook is distributed for sale at book stores nationwide. Central Equine's Ebook is a bi-monthly publication that is a supplement to the Central Equine website, giving sellers the ability to reach even more buyers. The Central Equine Ebook also will be available for free at all of the HITS horse shows across the country.

"We are really proud to be a sponsor of the Central Equine Junior Medal and to begin our relationship with HITS and the Marshall & Sterling League," added Schaedle.

The Marshall & Sterling League

The Marshall & Sterling League was first designed to encourage and enhance the competition level of Child and Adult riders by providing the opportunity to qualify for a prestigious National Finals competition. During the year, more than 2,400 riders from coast to coast compete at over 800 Marshall & Sterling League member horse shows with the goal of earning a spot at the National Marshall & Sterling League Finals held at HITS' state-of-the-art equestrian facility, in Saugerties, New York.

Riders must be members of the Marshall & Sterling League for their points to count toward qualifying for the Finals. Only the rider needs to join. There is just one membership, regardless of how many horses are shown. For specific questions, please call the Marshall & Sterling League office at 845.246.8833 or e-mail Patti@HitsShows.com
