It's Time To Apply! For the HITS Ocala Education Station
HITS is pleased that the Education Station will again provide On-site educational services for the HITS Ocala Winter Circuit. The Program has been successfully providing on-site educational services for grades K through 12 since 1992.
Classes run Monday - Thursday from 9 am - 12:30 pm
Students are grouped according to subject and grade in small groups with certified teachers. Please see the particulars listed on the second page of the application.
The Education Station is pleased to introduce a new on-site Director this year, Matt Brayman. Chances are you have seen Matt around the show grounds at HITS Ocala, HITS Saugerties, and HITS Culpeper - he has worked for HITS since 2005. In addition, his wife is a successful trainer, and both of his daughters have enjoyed successful riding careers as well.
Now, Matt brings his expertise in education to the Education Station. Matt was a teacher for 17 years in Newport, Rhode island, teaching Science and Math to 7th-12th graders. He also developed and managed a Drop-Out Prevention program for 10 of those years. Matt has offered private tutoring to students during the HITS Ocala Winter Circuit for the last 6 years, and looks forward to taking on a new role that combines his two passions - horses and teaching - by taking the reins of the Education Station.
