New Marshall & Sterling League Classes for 2017 Finals and Year End Awards

Saugerties, NY (June 26, 2017): The Marshall & Sterling Insurance League has added four new HITS exclusive divisions for this show season – the Novice Children’s Hunter Classic; the Novice Adult Hunter Classic; the Modified Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic; and the Low Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic.

The Novice Children’s and Adult Hunter Classics are offered as a standalone one-round classic with fences set at 2’6”.  The Classics are open to Junior and Amateur riders who are not competing in a rated class or section at the same show.

The Modified Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic will have fences set at .90m, 2’11”, and is open to Junior and Amateur riders who are not showing in any class with fences 3’6” or higher at the same show.

The Low Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic, with fence heights set at 1.0m, 3’3”, is open to Junior and Amateur riders who are not competing in Junior or Amateur-Owner Jumper classes or classics at the same show.

The Marshall & Sterling Insurance League was founded in 1991 by Tom Struzzieri, CEO of HITS, with the idea of nurturing beginning riders through the ranks. "The competitors in these divisions today are the stars of tomorrow, and we are delighted to be able to add these new divisions to the Marshall & Sterling League Finals and Year-End awards program.”

Exhibitors participating in these four Classics at both HITS CHICAGO at Balmoral Park and HITS-on-the-HUDSON venues are now being awarded M&S points. New standings are available on the website, CLICK HERE

The classes will count towards qualifying for both the National Finals at HITS-on-the-Hudson, in Saugerties, New York, and the Midwest Regional Finals, at HITS Balmoral Park in Crete, Illinois on September 13-17, 2017.
