It was a week of blue ribbons and smiles as riders competed for Champion titles in the Marshall & Sterling Insurance League National Finals. Hunter, Jumper, and Equitation riders joined the Winner's Circle in the Heart of the Hudson Valley at the HITS-on-the-Hudson show grounds. In this fantastic week of competition, Champions were named in 25 divisions, along with the Grand Hunter Championship and Best Rider awards.
HITS Hunter 2’6” – Professional
Taking home the first Champion title of the week was Sarah Stewart for her ride aboard SIROCCO. Placing first and second over fences and fifth in the under saddle totaled 17 points and the Championship for Stewart.

There was a tie for Reserve Champion, both earning 10 points over fences. Katie Milton and BUCKINGHAM PALACE NHF were second and third over fences to earn their 10 points. A win in the second over fence class would secure the co-reserve Championship for SHINING and Reese Merna.
HITS Hunter 2’6” – Non-Professional
The Champion title in the Non-Professional HITS 2'6" Hunter Division was Madyson Diaz and CAPTAIN AMERICA with a total of 20 points. Diaz finished with a first and second over fences and third place in the under saddle. Diaz continued her week in the Children's Working Hunter and Back on Track Medal Finals.

Taking home the Reserve Championship was Alexandra Browne and QUEST. A first place ribbon in the second over fences class secured the Reserve Championship for this combination.
HITS Hunter 2’
Kasey Parker kicked off her week full of success with the Champion title in the HITS 2' Working Hunter Division aboard ALL IN. Parker was first and fourth over fences and third in the under saddle for a total of 16 points.

Taking home the Reserve Champion title, also with 16 points, was Nicole Boyle and BE MINE. While Boyle had the same number of total points, she earned fewer points over fences with a first place ribbon in the second over fence round and a second place under saddle.
Adequan Hunter
Taking home the Adequan Working Hunter Champion title was Rebecca St. Onge and MID KNIGHT MEMORIES with a total of 16 points. St. Onge rode to first place in the second over fences class and second place in the under saddle.

The Reserve Champion, coming in with 10 1/2 points, was Tim Leuzarder and E.S.BRASUL 32  placing sixth and first in the over fence classes.
SmartPak Adult Working Hunter
In the SmartPak Adult Working Hunter division, there was a tie for the Champion title with each rider accumulating 10 points over fences by winning one of the classes. Winning the first over fences class was Tess Cunningham and HTS BUGATTI. Taking the blue ribbon in the second over fences class was Miranda Scarpone and ROSSO ROSSINI.
Children's Working Hunter - 14 & Under
Diaz returned to the Winner's Circle to take home another Champion title, this time in the Children's Working Hunter Horse 14 & Under section. With a first and second over fences and a second in the under saddle, 22 points would secure another tri-color for Diaz and CAPTAIN AMERICA, as well as a tie for the Reserve Grand Hunter Championship.

Luna Baron and CITY SMARTS claimed the Reserve Champion title, placing third and first over fences for a total of 14 points.
Children's Working Hunter - 15-17
Chloe Peebles and DRESSED IN BLUE earned 26 points in the Children's Working Hunter Horse 15-17 division to secure both the division championship and the Grand Hunter Championship for the week. Peebles took home a pair of blue ribbons in the over fence classes and was second under saddle.

The Reserve Champion title was awarded to Bridget Tyksinski and CINDERELLA, earning 8 points in the division with a second place over fences and a fourth place under saddle.
Children’s Working Hunter Pony – Small
Kaitlyn Linck and UP UP & AWAY took home the Champion title with 20 1/2 points in the Children's Working Hunter Pony Small division. A sixth and first over fences and first under saddle put Linck far ahead in the standings.

A second and third over fences and a third under saddle would total 14 points and the Reserve Champion title for Samantha Smith and TRENDING TOPIC.
Children’s Working Hunter Pony – Medium
Coming in with 22 point in the Children's Working Hunter Pony Medium division was Sydney Raidy and CLOUD NINE. Raidy rode to a first and fourth over fences and first under saddle. Raidy would return to the Winner's Circle tied for the Reserve Grand Hunter Champion award later on Saturday.

Emma Brody's first over fences and fourth under saddle, totaling 12 points, aboard WAIT N SEE would be good for the Reserve Champion title. 
Children's Working Hunter Pony - Large
Margeurite Foster and COLORFUL SCENARIO took home the Champion title in the Children's Working Hunter Pony Large with 20 points. A pair of blue over fences would secure the title.

It was a tie for the Reserve Champions, both riding to a red ribbon in one of the over fences classes for 6 points. Sharing the Reserve Champion title were Olivia Soucie and MAPLESIDE SIR GALAHAD and Alyssa Baychuk and GARDEN PARTY.
 
$1,500 Neue Schule USA Bit O’ Straw Hunter Classic
Grace Reynolds and UP TO SOMETHING claimed top honors in the $1,500 Neue Schule USA Bit O' Straw Hunter Classic. Reynolds returned to the second round in sixth place, with a score of 82. Luck just happened to be on her side as she scored another 82 for a total of 164 making the move to the top of the standings.

Taking home the red ribbon was Maci Iddings and CHECK MATE, with scores of 86 and 76.5 for a total of 163.5 across their two rounds in the classic.
$1,000 Novice Children’s Hunter Classic
Megan Major and ELEMA D took home top honors in the $1,000 Novice Children's Hunter Classic with the high score of 83. 

The reserve title was awarded to Isabel Henick and LAISSEZ FAIR with a score of 82.
$1,000 Novice Adult Hunter Classic
Joining the Winner's Circle for the $1,000 Novice Adult Hunter Classic was Erin Githens and ALIBI VI with a score of 68.

Taking home the red ribbon was Emily Apuzzo and CLOUD 9'S LIAM scoring a 67.
 
$3,500 Children’s Jumper Classic
Anders Paulson and PEPE LUCHO took home the blue ribbon in the $3,500 Children's Jumper Classic in a fault-free time of 49.491.

Next in the Winner's Circle was Natalie Meyer, who had the time in 47.153, but would accumulate 4-faults with a rail at fence 13.
$3,500 Adult Jumper Classic
A quick jump-off in 44.898 would be good for the blue ribbon in the $3,500 Adult Jumper Classic. It was Katarina Muhlhauser and her mount FERRARI T for the blue ribbon ride.

Second place was awarded to John Struzzieri and GREY QUIDAM in a time of 48.993.
$3,500 Low Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic
Bridget Dormer and SPELLBOUND took home the tri-color in the $3,500 Low Children's/Adult Jumper Classic in a time of 48.827. 

In second place was Whitney Shafer Williamson and ESSEX in a time of 50.287.

$3,500 Modified Children's/Adult Jumper Classic
Kasey Parker continued her success into the jumper ring with a win in the $3,500 Modified Children's/Adult Jumper Classic aboard HAMLET. Parker accumulated 4 jumping faults and 2 time faults, in a time of 54.602 to secure the blue ribbon.

The reserve ribbon was awarded to Carol Traver and QUANTA who had no jumping faults but accrued 6 time faults in 58.513.
 
M&S 2’6” Adult Medal Final
Success continued for Parker at the Marshall & Sterling Insurance League National Finals as she rode to a two round total of 161 and a tri-color ribbon in the Marshall & Sterling 2'6" Adult Medal Final.

Taking the reserve title was Browne who moved up from fourth place after the first round, where she scored a 76, to an 80 in the test for a total of 156.
M&S 2’6” Children’s Medal Final
Topping the field of 74 riders in the Marshall & Sterling 2'6" Children's Medal was Ryley Kurau. Kurau scored an 87 in the first round and followed that up with an 84 in the test for a total of 171 and the victory.

Jillian Ryan took home second place with scores of 83 and 86 across her two rounds combined for a total score of 169, just two points behind the leader.
Dover Saddlery Adult Medal Final
Arielle LoGiudice took home the tri-color in the Dover Saddlery Adult Medal Final. LaGiudice went into the second round standing in second with an 85, but a score of 83 for a 168 pushed her right to the top of the standings.

Taking second place, by just a quarter of a point, was Wynatte Chu with scores of 86 and 81.75 in her two rounds for a total of 167.75.
M&S Children’s Small/Medium Pony Medal Final
Kyle Kipnes took home the Champion title in the Marshall & Sterling Children's Small/Medium Pony Medal Final with the high score of 86 in the first round and a 79 in the second round for a 165.

The red ribbon was won by Ryan Goldsmith riding to scores of 77 and 80 for a total of 157 in the Medal.
M&S Children’s Large Pony Medal Final
Taking home top honors in the Marshall & Sterling Children's Large Pony Medal Final was Emma Whidden with the high scores of 90 and 88 in each of the respective rounds, for a cumulative score of 178.

Taking home the reserve champion title was Isabella David for her score of 88 in the first round, standing second, and a 79.5 to total 167.5 and the red ribbon.
Back on Track Children’s Medal Final
A pair of 87's for a 174 secured the victory in the Back on Track Children's Medal Final for Mia Chimenti. Chimenti's efforts and the high scores in both rounds won her a Back on Track Therapeutic Mesh Sheet and trophy.

Sarah Tom was presented with the red ribbon and a Back on Track Therapeutic Saddle Pad with scores of 80.75 and 84 for a total of 164.75.
M&S Junior Medal Final
Victory in the Marshall & Sterling Junior Medal Final was awarded to Emily Dehoff for her ride to scores of 87 and 80 for a total of 167.

Amanda Tom joined the Winner's Circle with scores of 82 ad 84 for a 166 and the reserve champion sash.
M&S Junior/Amateur Horsemanship Final
The last Champion was named Sunday afternoon in the Marshall & Sterling Junior/Amateur Horsemanship Final. Britta Lippert scored an 87 over fences and excelled in the flat test to take home the victory.

Second place was awarded to Elizabeth Kenny, who scored an 85 over fences and kept her spot on the flat.
