were a Grand Success

The Great NYS Fair Expo Center Cements Itself as an Equine Destination
The first annual Marshall & Sterling Insurance League Indoor Finals were a success, nearly doubling in size from the inaugural HITS Indoor Championship last year! HITS returned to the beautiful Expo Center in Syracuse, New York where riders joined the Winner's Circle to accept Champion titles in featured Hunter, Jumper, and Equitation competition.
HITS Hunter 2’6” – Professional
The first Champion awarded at the Marshall & Sterling Insurance League Indoor Finals was Heather Heberle & SCANDAL (below left) in the HITS 2'6" Professional Hunter division with two firsts and a fifth. Sarah Barge & ASIER S took Reserve Champion with first, second and fifth place finishes.
HITS Hunter 2’6” – Non-Professional
Leah Vandenberg & ACOLIDO SSH claimed the Champion title in the HITS 2'6" Non-Professional Hunter division winning both over fence classes and second under saddle. Reserve was awarded to Corrina Rosenfeld & OCEANIA with second in each over fence class and a first under saddle.
HITS Hunter 2’
With two firsts and a third, Kelsey Jedra & FOREVER IN BLUE JEANS (below right) claimed the Champion title in the HITS 2' Hunter division. Reserve was awarded to Alexis Vito & DA NICO who rode to a first and two seconds.
OSPHOS 3' Hunter
Annie Walsh & ARAMIS were Champions of the OSPHOS 3' Hunter division with a first, second, third, and fifth. There was a tie for Reserve Champion, broken by the most points over fences, to be awarded to Elizabeth Jacobs & SELINA who were first and second over fences.
SmartPak Adult Working Hunter
With a first and second over fences and third under saddle, Jill Mulcahey & DATE KNIGHT took home the SmartPak Adult Hunter Champion. Emily Weis & CELEBRATION finished with the same number of points, but less over fences to take home Reserve.

Children's Working Hunter
Walsh (below) returned to the Winner's Circle to accept another Champion title aboard ARAMIS, this time in the Children's Working Hunter division with a clean sweep across the three classes. Reserve Champion with three red ribbons was Elise Heim & COPENHAGEN.
Children’s Working Hunter Pony – Small/Medium
Arabella Teluk & TRILLIUM'S LITTLE LADY claimed Champion and the tri-color sash in the Children's Small/Medium Pony Working Hunter division with a first and second over fences and a second under saddle. The Reserve Champion sash was awarded to Roran Young & WINN DIXIE taking home a first and a third place in the division.
Children's Working Hunter Pony - Large
Jedra's success continued aboard FOREVER IN BLUE JEANS in the Children's Large Pony Working  Hunter division. Blue ribbons in both over fences classes and second under saddle secured Champion for this team. Megan Conway & QUALEN'S BALLY WYCK were Reserve, winning the under saddle and taking two red ribbons over fences.
Syracuse 2'3" Hunters
Taking home Champion in the Syracuse 2'3" Hunter division was Stacey Pushlar & CHAMPAGNE AND LACE with two firsts and a second over fences, and a third under saddle. Taking home the Reserve Champion was Parker Devine & QUATTRO winning an over fences class and the under saddle class on Sunday.
Neue Schule USA Bit O’ Straw Hunter Classic
Hayley Fedele rode ILLICIT to the blue in the Neue Schule USA Bit O' Straw Hunter Classic achieving scores of 74 and 78 in each of the respective rounds for a combined score of 152. The red ribbon was awarded to Anna Learner & SCANDAL with scores of 72 and 74 for a total of 146. Rounding out the top three was Vito & DA NICO with a score of 78 in the first round and 67 in the second for a cumulative score of 145.
Elite Equine Novice Children’s Hunter Classic
Learner scored a 79 to accept top honors in the Elite Equine Novice Children's Hunter Classic aboard SCANDAL. Second place was awarded to Devine for her ride aboard QUATTRO with a score of 77, followed by Morgan Nortz & SILENCE IS GOLDEN scoring a 75.
Elite Equine Novice Adult Hunter Classic
Kerry Marble & AMHERST topped the field in the Elite Equine Novice Adult Hunter Classic with the high score of 74. Taking home the red ribbon was Fedele & ILLICIT, scoring a 73. Rounding out the top three in the standings was Alexa Basile aboard NOTED with a score of 45 in the Hunter Classic.
 
Low Children’s/Adult Jumper Classic
It was a one-two finish for Corryn Schenkel in the Low Children's and Adult Jumper Classic. Schenkel secured the blue ribbon aboard CADENZATO and the red aboard LEUCOJUM. Taking home third place was Heather Knox-Fenske for her ride aboard SACRAMENTO.
Modified Children's/Adult Jumper Classic
Margaret Andrews & GOOD LUCK CHARM took top honors in the Modified Children's and Adult Jumper Classic posting a double clear ride. Elizabeth Rotariu secured second place honors aboard MAXIMUS and returned to the winners circle to accept third place aboard CASTLE.
Syracuse 2'6" Jumper
Andrews & GOOD LUCK CHARM secured the Championship in the Syracuse 2'6" Jumper division with three firsts and a second. Taking home the Reserve Champion title was Grace Coulter & SILVER KING with a first, second, and sixth.
 
M&S 2’6” Adult Medal Final
Vito returned to the Winner's Circle for the blue ribbon in the Marshall & Sterling 2'6" Adult Medal Final for two consistent rounds. The Reserve Champion was awarded to Fedele and third place to Marble.
M&S 2’6” Children’s Medal Final
Another win is in the books for Andrews as she topped the field in the Marshall & Sterling Children's 2'6" Medal Final. Success continued for Devine and Learner as they placed second and third, respectively.
Dover Saddlery Adult Medal Final
Knox-Fenske (right) was second overall after round one and with a strong score in round two she moved up in the standings to take home first place in the Dover Saddlery Adult Medal Final. Samantha Page also moved up in the standings after the first round, receiving the high score in round two to take home second place. Rounding out the top three was Stephanie Young who had the high score in the first round to combine with her second round and finish with the yellow ribbon.
M&S Children’s Small/Medium Pony Medal Final
Top honors in the Marshall & Sterling Small/Medium Pony Medal Final went to R. Young (pictured below) with Tulek taking home the Reserve Champion sash.
M&S Children’s Large Pony Medal Final
Conway continued her weekend by claiming the blue ribbon in the Marshall & Sterling Large Pony Medal Final, with Jedra taking home second place honors in the class.
Back on Track Children's Medal Final
Jordan Robertson (left) had the high score in both rounds of the Back on Track Children's Medal Final. Along with the blue ribbon, Robertson won a Back on Track Mesh Sheet, trophy, and Marshall & Sterling backpack. Heim won the red rosette and a Back on Track Saddle Pad. Rounding out the top three was Emmie Esplin.

M&S Junior/Amateur Horsemanship Final
Bridget Vieau led the way in the Horsemanship Final with a solid course and strong flat work for top honors. Knox-Fenske took home the Reserve Champion award.
