Specs. - Stal Hendrix $25,000 Green Futurity

WHO: Horses Eligible to show in the Green Hunter 3' or 3'3" Division under USEF Rules and Nominated to the Stal Hendrix Green Hunter Futurity Program.

ELIGIBILITY: Application
• Horses must be Nominated annually to the Stal Hendrix Futurity Program to be eligible for the Final.
• Horses must be eligible to show in the Green Hunter 3' or 3'3" Division under USEF Rules.

NOMINATION: Horses must be Nominated annually to the Stal Hendrix Green Futurity Program to be eligible for the Final. Nomination opens January 1 of the competition year. Annual Nomination Fees are as follows:

$350 Nominated January 1 - March 31
$550 Nominated April 1 - July 31
$750 Nominated August 1 - September 6

The Date of Nomination and the fee to be paid will be based on the date the Nomination Form and Fees are received in the HITS Office. If a horse is sold during the competition year, the Nomination follows the horse: please inform the HITS office in the case of a change of ownership. Nomination form - click here.

ADD-BACK: 100% of the Nomination Fees for the Stal Hendrix Futurity Program will be added back to the Prize Money for the Final. The more horses that Nominate, the bigger the Prize Money at the Final.

RIDER - HORSE LIMIT: Riders are limited to two horses in the Final, but need not to have ridden the horse during the season.
 
CROSS ENTRY RESTRICTIONS: The Horse may NOT compete in the Diamond Mills $500,000 Hunter Prix Final or the Platinum Performance $100,000 Hunter Prix Final.    

GREEN FUTURITY FINAL CONDITIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS: 
The Stal Hendrix Futurity Final will be held over three days. Horses will not be required to jog, but must be serviceably sound. To be judged on style and performance. To be judged under the open numerical judging system. Fences 3’, spreads not to exceed fence height.

The First round will take place on Thursday; the Second round will take place on Friday. To be scored by a panel of at least 2 judges. The First round shall be over a Classic-type course of 12-16 fences. All who compete in the First round will be eligible to return for the Second round in reverse order of their scores from the First round. Horses eliminated in the First round will return with a score of zero (0). In the case of ties, the order of those tied will be drawn. The Second round shall be over a course of 10-12 fences and may include handy-type elements. Scores from both rounds will be added to determine the top 25 to return for the Third round on Saturday. In the case of a tie for the 25th position, the Second round score will break the tie. The order for the Third round will be reverse order of total scores from the First and Second rounds. In the case of ties, the Second round score will determine the order of those tied. Scores will not carry over to the Third round.

The Third and Fourth rounds will take place Saturday. To be scored by a panel of at least 2 judges. One judge/panel will be designated as the tie-breaking judge/panel. The Third round shall be over a course of approximately 12 fences and will include handy-type elements. Scores will be added to determine the top 4 to return for the Fourth round. The Fourth round shall be over a shortened course of 6-8 fences and will include handy-type elements. Scores will be added to determine the winners. In the case of a tie for first place, there will be a tie-breaking round over a shortened course. In the case of a tie for any other place, the designated tie-breaking panel/judge shall break the tie.

ORDER OF GO: The order of go will be drawn within three groups:
  • Horses Nominated August 1-September 6 will go first
  • Horses Nominated April 1-July 31 will go next
  • Horses Nominated January 1-March 31 will go last
