Zazou Hoffman and Lexi Wedemeyer Kick-Off the Second Half of the HITS Coachella Desert Circuit 
with Blue Ribbon Finishes
Riders are back in the Desert to kick off the second half of the HITS Coachella Desert Circuit at the AON HITS Desert Horse Park. Over the remaining weeks, riders can look forward to the presentation of the Adeptus 2nd-Half Circuit and HITS Overall Grand Circuit Champion awards, as well as the unprecedented AIG $1 Million Grand Prix, another $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, and much more!

Mariano Alario and EDESA’S DYLAN took home top honors in the $5,000 Johnson Horse Transportation Open Welcome on Wednesday. Alario raced through the timers to capture the blue ribbon by just fractions of a second in a time of 29.974.
  • 2nd Place: Kyle King & CHRISTIAN (29.986)
  • 3rd Place: Richard Fellers & STEELBI (30.320)
Riders were back in the Grand Prix Stadium on Friday afternoon for the $30,000 SmartPak Grand Prix. Taking the blue ribbon was Cassio Rivetti aboard EDITA in a time of 36.591.
  • 2nd Place: Viggo Bjorklund & VINCERO (39.137)
  • 3rd Place: Ali Ramsay & CASINO (39.411)
Bjorklund’s second-place performance in the SmartPak Grand Prix also confirmed the win in the $1,000 Charles White Hay Sales U25 Classic.
Zazou Hoffman and W ZERMIE 13 took home the blue ribbon in the $10,000 Summit Joint Performance Jumper Classic in a time of 32.792. This would be the first of two appearances for Hoffman in the Winner’s Circle during HITS Desert Circuit V.
  • 2nd Place: Blake Gardiner & LUCRECIA (33.854)
  • 3rd Place: Haley Schwab & ELITE PATTY K (35.741)
The blue ribbon in the $15,000 KindredBio Jumper Classic went to Kasey Ament and QASAMA DU BUISSON Z in a time of 33.218.

2nd Place: Shawn Casady & ARIANA (33.824)
3rd Place: Nicole Shahinian-Simpson& IT’S REAL LOVE VD SMIS Z (33.873)
Top honors in the $3,000 Junior 1.20m Jumper Classic were won by Lisel Anderson & MISTERIO.

David Scapa & GAMEBOY claimed the blue ribbon in the $3,000 A-O/Am 1.20m Jumper Classic.

A clear ride by Madison Dunham, aboard TAQUIN DE LA NUTRIA, would seal the blue ribbon in the $5,000 Wilmington Trust Jr/A-O/Am 1.35m Jumper Classic.

Natalie Dean & DON'S DIAMANT add to their success at the HITS Coachella Desert Circuit with a blue ribbon in the $10,000 Jr/A-O/Am 1.45m Jumper Classic.
Hoffman returned to the Winner’s Circle aboard SAMSON II, dressed with a customized cooler and blue ribbon on Sunday afternoon for the $70,000 Osphos Grand Prix. Racing through the timers, she captured a time of 38.011 to take the lead.

2nd Place: Ramsay & HERMELIEN VD HOOGHOEVE (38.672)
3rd Place: Patricio Pasquel & POMEROLE (39.088)
Blue ribbons were awarded in the Main Hunter Ring in the featured Hunter Prix, the Platinum Performance and Devoucoux Hunter Prix, which are qualifiers for the HITS Championship, September 4-8 in Saugerties, New York.

Receiving top honors in the $1,500 Platinum Performance Hunter Prix was Jamie Krupnick for her ride aboard CONUX. Returning with a score of 86 from the first round, Krupnick scored an 85 in the second round for a commaning score of 171.
  • 2nd Place: Skylar Wireman & QUEST (162)
  • 3rd Place: Eva Chiocchetti & SAMARKAND (160)
The scores were close in the $5,000 Devoucoux Hunter Prix at Week V of the HITS Coachella Desert Circuit. Lexi Wedemeyer, aboard GONE COUNTRY, would edge to the top of the standings with scores of 85 and 84 in her respective rounds for a two round total of 169 and the blue ribbon.
  • 2nd Place: Jake Wasson & LUKATONI (168.5)
  • 3rd Place: Michael Dennehy & HULLA-BALOU (166.5)
